Things take time..

The same summer we moved into the house, we bought some lamps for the living room and the bedroom. After 2,5 years we managed to install some of them (see Karsten doing all the work below) - the rest are still on a shelf in the cellar... We have to have something to do the next 2-3 years as well!

Furniture Update

Our old sofa was very big and very red and kinda outdated - but still very comfortable. We'd been looking for something a bit smaller, and when we got a deal (25% off) we went for it. Usually we're really good at assembling furniture, but not this time, you wouldn't believe how long it took to put this thing together! However, if you do not at first succeed...

New Year's Lunch

On New Year's day we were 14 people around the lunch table - 6 kids and 8 grownups :-) We had a great time, particularly as time went on and the kids' blood sugar levels went through the roof - there was lots of laughing and playing! Anne and Oscar

At midnight we dressed warmly and went outside to watch the fireworks. The kids had sparklers - which made for some cool pictures:

New Year's Eve: More pictures

It takes "forever" to upload my pictures. When we were all dressed up and out - we thought we should take a couple of pictures of ourselves, for a change. The best one turned out to be one I took :-)

New Year's: Death of the gingerbread house

We spent New Year's Eve with Karsten's sister Merete's family. This included the annual smashing and eating of the gingerbread house from christmas:
